Hi all,
I am testing to create a new server.
When I lunch the "EQ2World.exe", I have an error.
He says :
Starting factory Reader
Starting factory Writer
World server listening on: localhost:9000
Connected to LoginServer: eq2emulator.net:9100
Login server returned a fatal error: This server is not the login server.
Disabling reconnect
**.**.***.***:9101: TCPConnection:RecvData(): Error: 10053
In my LoginServer.ini I have :
worldname= My world server name
worldaddress=localhost
worldport=9000
locked=false
account= My World Account Name
password=My World Account Password
Someone know this error message please ?

you need to browse the forum a little bit all these questions have been answered already. This error seems to be you have the in correct version of eq2 to play the game. you must go buy a boxed set of the rok expansion in order to use the emulator.
http://eq2emulator.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=98
when you launch eq2 it will say the version you currently have in the top bar.

Did you uninstall the game completely use the cd's to install the game then don't let the program update at all. go edit the ini file and click everquest2.exe in the program folder?
can you post a screen shot?

Ok I've uninstalled the game and re install it.
Now I can connect myself on your servers but I cannot see mine.
Moreover, i've seen that there is no player on your servers... Is it true ? (When our server have been lunch, for the update with
www.eq2emulator.net, we saw that there is only 1 NPC... Do we have to spawn all the NPC's ?)

The emulator is still in its earlier state but a lot of progress has been made. There will eventually bee a database released with everything needed in it but for now you must add npc's and other things bye hand.
To get your server going follow the guide steps I showed earlier. If you can connect to ours you must not have your server running before you try to connect to the emulator. eq2emulator should be running with no errors before you can connect to your own server.

You want to see NPCs? There are thousands spawned on TessEQ2. They are not cleaned up and perfect, but they are there for you to see and interact with. More functionality is coming soon.
Server stability is #1 above all. I think we finally got that, time for #2: everything else!

So to sumup... Today, it's not possible to build up a Private server for EQ2 ? Actually, we are french guys who wanted to build up a Role play server for our community ... Do you think it's possible ? (With NPC's, mobs, quest... ) (because we've seen that there is no skin on the TessEQ2 server... for example the fae don't have their wings ...)

It is possible to do the problem with the fae not having wings is just missing id's in theory I have not tried this but any race should be able to have wings if you put the right id in. I make no promises of adding wings to any race.
