So what this tells me is, every release I have to pay $40-50 for an entirely new expansion, plus all the crap I already paid $40-50 for the first 4 times, not counting the now-defunct adventure packs.
This also means each year as a new "box" is released, I pile up new account keys that will never get used because I already had an account from 4 years ago.
Yeah, from a business perspective, raping the end-user repeatedly always makes sense.

Actually their business model is you pay the same for an expansion as you ever did (40 american dollars) and you recieve everything else free.
Remember, it could be worse. You could pay $50 for just the expansion like with WoW and only get major additions to the game every 2 years or so.
Also as far as Sony's business practices and your thoughts on them are concerned, they are totally irrelevant. I was just stating that tSO will most likely be a complete box, like RoK. Because of that, RoK will not be available anymore. It is Sony's practice to buy back unsold boxes so RoK will be pulled from the shelves the moment tSO is released.
If we don't move up to tSO rather quickly, we may find people wanting to play, but being unable to because they can't get RoK. That is not an enviable position for a fledgeling emulator to be in.
Of course that is just my opinion. If LE chooses not to move up the client, that is his decision and I will support it. I have been here since the beginning and aren't going anywhere anytime soon...
