/spawn move: How to move stuff around

(edit: These posts were moved from Content to Tutorials to give you a general idea how we're cleaning things up - and are based on the results of EQ2PacketCollector data and PacketParser.exe results)

Sometimes things are not standing exactly where they should, of facing the right direction.

Here we have a stout lass who just happens to be looking at the rock instead of me. Just click on her, type the command

Code: Select all

/spawn move
and flip her around using your mouse wheel. Once you let go, the change is immediately written to the DB for the next spawn instance.

Note: "/spawn move" allows you to move any object from where it is, to where you want it - you can even use the mouse to position and rotate just like decorating a house.

Note: You can pick up nearly every object in the game as long as it is targettable and move it. The server will not let you set something down where it doesn't "fit"; again, much like decorating a house. For instance, you cannot hang a picture in mid-air... it actually needs a wall. :)
