open server ?

Just wondering (i know you guys would have said if you knew an exact date) but does any of the staff or users have a rough idea of how long till there will be like a open alpha or something (my time on Eq2 is running short and im getting sick of paying for it)

As with just about all free stuff on the internet, the rule of thumb is, that there is no rule of thumb. ETAs are like that uber leet sword you seen once in your life, but for the love of allakazam, you cant find any details on it.
Its done when its done sorta thing. Currently its Closed Alpha (duh). Once the devs have most of the features implemented for general gameplay, where a user can do more than just zone around and play with thier 'spells", then they may consider taking on a few alpha/beta testers to evaluate things and fix as needed.
Public Date however will be Sometime after the RoK expansion. No idea when after that it will go public, but it will definately be after that.

I dont think we will have a public signup thread simply because there will be 100+ posts saying pick me pick me for a job that only requires at most 10 people.
