Server Crash rev 119

Post by John Adams » Sat Aug 09, 2008 3:31 pm

I just watched my world restart as Zcoretri was performing many /spawn combine and save commands. Nothing odd appeared in the console, and no debug warnings - just a shut down and restart.

Code: Select all

The application, C:\eq2emu\EQ2World.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 08/09/2008 @ 13:03:15.640 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 004F2E3A (EQ2World)

Code: Select all

Now that I look, it appears to have crashed twice today. Zco, any idea what was happening at the time, or just combining spawn groups?

This time, someone just /shout in the world and it crashed. This was right after I was setting an NPC's action_state.

I am crashing the world all over the place. Can you tell me what I need to provide to help solve this problem?
This time, I was editing the Murrar Shar.lua to add a second task to his list (testing the dead soldier location step thing we talked about). After finishing the script, I performed the /reload spawnscripts, /reload luasystem, and a /repop - and the world crashed.
~blush~ oopsie. This last crash was caused by my inability to write a quest script correctly. :)
