EQII?!

Hi all,
I was wondering if this is the only eq2 private server movement?
Also I see no one is playing on any of the servers...how come?

I believe this is the only EQ2Emulator out there. If you do some research or read the front page, you'll notice this project is only in alpha stage (pre-beta, pre-pre release). Usually alpha stages aren't even available to the public so you are seeing this project still being developed as it's no where close to be finished yet (but we're making good progress!).

Same ETA as any other game/emulator. "When its done."
Its a long heafty project being done by general people in their spare time, so life happens, things pop up unexpectedly, and sometimes its good to just take a break. Heh. All these lead to time delays on an already overwhelming project. I would say dont expect a 'done' emulator for a couple/few years if ever (since most are always 'work in progress').
LE has done a great job so far, and has been progressing nicely. Just a matter of a few more features and some good DB work. Enjoy following the progress with the rest of us.

Testing is going on right now (alpha) on various servers currently active. Some of these servers are already taking a "custom" path, but there are 2 servers remaining true to EQ2 Live for development purposes;
- EQ2Emulator - the Core Server project
- TessEQ2 - the DB Project server.
Both of these you can log into and check out functionality, test it, report bugs. This is ALPHA - which means nothing is expected to work, but a lot does. Daily, new things are tweaked/added/fixed.
BETA starts whenever EQ2Emulator 0.8 gets released, and that date is "to be determined" - possibly 6 mos to a year out. That gives us 2 more versions to add fixes and enhancements til "Release 1.0", where the community takes over and keeps the emulator project alive - which might be another year, depending on who's doing the work.
You want the project to move along faster? Offer to help somewhere. Coding, gathering packetlogs from the live game, helping with the DB since there are maybe 4 people helping with the database, and while they are doing a fine job, we need 20 more. You would not believe how much data supports these games...

Indeed. Without continuing support from the community, it will take that much longer, bottom line.
