server newbie here

hello, im new to the eq2, ive got my server up and running, and i can connect just fine,, the big question is,,,,,i see no creatures,no npc's nothing to do actually but run around, am i missing something??

The Emulator is currently in alpha. You can read around to learn how to spawn creatures and create things. But at this the emulator is limited.

As JCL said, "alpha" - means, it's not released. What you have now is server core functionality being worked on - and in a parallel effort, some of us are building a database. There is no public database available at this time. /spawn create works if you want to play around with it on your own server.

many thanks, was wondering if had compiled it wrong or something lol,, i currently have a linux wow server,counterstrike source(2),and a few others, thought id try compiling this one, i guess i done it right.,,in the near future may make a swgemu once its done also..if there is anything i can do to help, let me know,wonderwond@suddenlink.net

Read the forums. You can contribute in numerous ways, programming,documentation,DB etc...
