Kill Self bug

Post by JCL » Sat Aug 30, 2008 7:12 am

If you use the /kill self bug and revive you will die again after being revived. This happens whether you have a safe point or not. I have tried either way and you still die after revival.
Edit: The reason for this is because when you revive you have 0 health and power, and that causes you to die again.
And I noticed another problem. Sub_name (A name under your name) does not show unless you have died.

This is a known issue, thought we are not sure why it happens. The root cause is that max_hp and max_power are being set to 0, and therefore is resetting hp and power to 0, causing you to die.
Edit your max_hp, max_power > 0, and you will stop the death loop.
As for subname, I didn't think they were working at all yet.

Yeah I had figured out the hp and power in db already, just did'nt know if you guys knew about it or not.
Yeah the only time subnames work is at death for some reason. But this feature isn't a big deal to not have yet.

Where are you setting the players surname, btw? There isn't even a field for it in the database.
