Admin Panel

Post by Arremis » Wed Sep 03, 2008 9:04 am

Finally getting some free time to work on my Admin Panel. Here's a sneak peek at what I'm working on:
Image
Each button will bring up another little window with a series of pull-down menus giving you a choice of what you want to do.
The Zone button will allow you to zone to the various zones. This will eliminate the need to manually type /zone adv04_dun_drown_caverns (for example). You just select Drowned Caverns from the pull-down menu and off you go! I know regular players will be using the zone clicky doors and things to get around, but still a nice feature to have for GMs and Admins :D
The NPCs button will allow you spawn varous NPC's, i.e. regular spawns like goblins, named mobs, quest NPC's, etc. I can see this being useful for things like placing 20 Sparring Partners in a circle around you and one-shotting them for fun.
The Items button will allow you to summon the various weapons, armor, equipment, consumables, etc.
The GM button will allow you access to the various GM commands, i.e. kick, ban, relocate players, etc.
The Admin button will give you the various commands having to do with the server, i.e. reloading spells, restarting the server, etc.
If you need anything added to this list, let me know. If you have any observations or questions, this shall be the official Admin Panel thread. :D

Seems kind of interesting for a addon project. Is that just a sample UI or have you actually started on the functions?

Arremis, bless your cold, English heart. This is exactly what I've been waiting for. :) Sending you a PM with some info, maybe you can get some ideas for your design.

That's an actual screenshot of the panel in UIBuilder, and I haven't started on the functions yet (I have a tendency to do the GUI work first then add the funcitonality).

A privileged few have a customized web editor for use with their dev repacks. ;)

How much money you got? I might have an extra one in stock.

Humm I remember L2J admin panel, there is some very nice feature, like you can type the name of a player and click to Go or Get for go to player or summon it to you, maybe if it is possible (with the help of some dev) it would be nice to have a button like "See inventory" and it pop up an inventory windows (like when you press "I") but showing the player inventory and eventually bank windows too.
Fight with me... Or die, like the rest.
