Zone 36

I'm using client 5029L. I was zoning around last night and when I typed /zone 36, this is what happened:

Now this is where it gets interesting. I logged back into the game, and at the character select screen it was still showing my character sitting in the 'Describe me' zone, so I clicked play and it crashed again, same error.
I logged back into the game again, and this time it had duplicated my character on the character select screen, so it was showing 2 Arremises. I created another character, Arremistwo, and went through the same process again, and once again it created a duplicate Arremistwo, this time, one was showing as being in the 'Describe me' zone, and the other was showing as being in the last location before zoning to zone 36.
Not wanting to damage the database inadvertently, I deleted all 4 Arre characters and made an Arrefrog.
This all happened between 8 and 9pm GMT.

Hmm, I don't know whats up with zone 36 for you, but you can move your character back to a different zone with it's safe locs through the database. As for duplicates on the login screen, that always happens for some reason.

Looking at the DB for zone with a ID of 36 and it looks like a bogus zone. That is not an EQ2 zone.
Also, there is no 37, so I would not try to zone there either
And I have always had duplicates of my toons in the character select screen. It only dupes the toons for YOUR own server from what I've seen.

We've been cleaning zones out of the tables since the dawn of the database project. I'm presuming the initial table was built by dir /b *.vpk > zonelist.txt and imported into MySQL - then cleaned up gradually. Not all VPKs are zones. While some are not, there are more coming that are, which we add usually when they are discovered.
I'll remove this one now as to avoid any further confusion. Thanks for pointing it out.

I can zone there. It's a huge checkerboard zone with some trees and huge craters in the ground. It's extremely small and looks like it's used for testing. Some people can zone there while others can't and I'm not sure why.
How much DKP are we getting for the raid tonight??!

Yeah that zone works, but Dir zone was a text file, obviously wouldn't work.

Yeah they probably used/use it for testing. But then again I'd imagine they have a dev-only test server too.
But for the raid, its 10 for showing up, 5 per kill, and half taken for being late.
