Hi there, I'm excited about this project. Keep up the good work! Had some questions....
Are the character files stored on the eq2 servers only?
No files are downloaded to the client to capture character data?

Well your character appearance information is saved into a cached directory for use on the character selection of Login server. In theory, this cached data could be used to recreate a character similiar in appearance to the one on live. However, item information and such is not included so that could not be imported. Of course in case you didnt know, any changes made on any emu server would not be transferred to live.

LIES!!! Your telling me that the emu and SOE are not working together to create a better tranisition to and from Live servers. I vote we should assign the role of EQ2Emu Ambassador to someone and send them to SOE to work out a deal so we both can exist and share account information equally.

I can always give myself the items from my live character but then again, if I have access to the GM command then my gear will be ubber. Cant wait for this to come out...I solo 80% of the time in EQ2.

Solo ? why the hell would you play a "massivly multi-player" game to solo ? Doesn't it defeat the purpose?

I raid 2-3 times a week on that 20%. One in a while I hit unrest or mmc with a guild group. My 2 mains are lvl70/100aa's so I raid with those guys...I solo with my alts. I do converse in guild chat tho!
