Registering a server account

Post by blackfire » Mon Sep 22, 2008 12:20 pm

I'm trying to register a server account but every time it fails. I get an error that I am using a bad user name and password yet I am setting this up for the first time?
Thanks for the emulator though! So far it sounds fun!

You have to register a player account before you can register a server account. Once you have done so, you should be able to use the player account information in the admin section of the server registration.

At some point it must have went through successfully. Can I ask what it is registered under as the server account admin? The server is gamephyre. Thanks! looking forward to getting this up and running.

Hmm, actually you didn't register it with a admin account. The system shouldnt have allowed you to do that :/ I'll fix it when I have some free time.

Should I just re-register?

Okay so what should I use as the admin account or is the first player on a server automatically a GM account? Thanks man.

Login to your server for the first time so that your character exists in your database. Then use a SQL editor to edit your character's admin_status to 200 in the characters table. Then log out of your world and back on and they will have all the commands available.

Login server recieved a fatal error when trying to connect and couldn't obtain updates. I think I might be using bad information for my server account but not sure what quite to put in there. I have my ports set up through my fire wall properly, that I am certain.
Edit: I believe now that I am using the proper login and password, but it's still giving me a fatal error that it can not retrieve the information necessary to start.
