Bug hunt (server crashes)

While Tess does not want to give up her glory and infamy (she is an attention whore afterall), I need to put a call out to the current players to create toons on the Lethalencounter server - which is running the TessEQ2 DB for now. I am having tons of crashes and need to see if LE can identify them, and I myself seem unable to crash the server.
If anyone has some time, get on his server and do your thing. Bring that sucker down like I know you can! =)
Tess will remain available as well, but the bug hunt needs to be on the LE server. Try it out, please.

Yeah, apparently when searching for CRASHES, the server tends to go down. :) I think we got a couple identified, and LE is fixing them as they come up. There may be more, but hopefully they are all related.

Hehe. One thing that bugs me is that the age of the character isn't stored. Like, some races have the option of age (humans, gnomes, &c). Also, glasses/non-hair accessories.
Not related to the crashes, I know, but picking your glasses is just as important to me as setting your cheek fullness: both or none. :v

There are plenty of standard things not working yet, but we're focusing on show-stoppers in this test, being normal operation causes the server to abnormally terminate.
We'll get your cheeks fluffed next release. ;)

I am currently still connected, but all comms are dead. Can't chat, hail, or interact - but I still see 2 connections and the server didn't appear to crash?

Well that would explain this. I would have been back sooner, but I was too busy laughing my ass off.
Edit: nevermind the movie file, stupid windows movie maker heh. But, it's a sight to be seen ;)

Last time i entered Lethalencounter server (2 or 3 days ago.) it was very laggy, and goes down or crashed very often, even if i kept trying to play on this server because it was the 2nd server with working npc / quests, so i wanted to see how far i could go into quests, but it was, kinda unplayable, the server was going down too often to really "test" something.

And i found TessEQ2 a lot more stable and i could play hours on this one without being disconnected, and it was "stable" those past 2 / 3 days, i used /itemsearch and started fooling around with all the items to see what u can use / equip, and what's not working yet 8) (like food / drinks / rings / wrists / cloak, stuff that doesnt want to equip, i also seen that "mitigation" wasnt working too, stats of armors do really work (str / agi etc...) and there is a lack of skills for the few classes i played with. (u get a very few skills from lvl 1 to 80 when u are berserker, like 5 skills in the total...)

Oh, and i forgot... looks like the server isnt "saving" the money u get, i mean, when u zone, it restarts ur money to 0, and i had this problem with quests too i think, u could restart your quest by zoning, and u can re done it every time, so i guess nothing to save the "personnal" data of players characters is set on those servers. (But it would mean u have to loose space on hd for saving the Alpha tester chars which is useless because it's an alpha, and i have that in mind dont be confused :p)

I also found that the berserker can equip a great sword in right hand slot and a normal sword in the other hand (other than main sword, secondary i mean.) so u can bash monsters with a two handed weapon in the right hand and a one handed in the left one (that have no "main hand" stats on it.) It's pretty cool, but i dont know if it was meant to be...

Well since LE is our main developer, his server will probably have code sections that he is working on that might cause it be unstable.

TessEQ2 will for the most be running the most stable code release. Being in the Alpha stage, most of the things you bring up we are aware of and those kinds of things are either not implemented at all, or just have minimal implementation at this point.

This could be a new bug that has crept in. We will check it out.

Class checking and that sort of stuff for equiping is not fully implemented yet.

Whenever anyone goes on my server they shouldn't expect to be on it for very long. That is because when it is up I am usually testing code and I'm constantly restarting it to test different things. The vast majority of these "crashes" as they appear to you are just me bringing my server down so I could change some code. The other day it was laggy because I was running a memory profiler on the code so that I could improve it. Again, my server is a development server which is why it is red when you try to create a character on it.
