mood vs visual states

Post by John Adams » Fri Dec 12, 2008 6:18 pm

Remember that day after tSO, we saw the "a_dead_soldier" hopping up and down? The solution was to set their visual_state to 0, and set their mood_state to 228 (dead). I was on my server last night, and the dead soldiers were hopping again - so I put mood back to 0 and visual back to 228 and it's working.
Also, those spawns are part of a quest "dead_soldiers" on Tess - which have an AddQuestStepLocation(...) for many of those dead spawns. I haven't verified this, but I think the only ones "hopping" have an AddQuestStepLocation(...) set in the script. Unverified, but I'll check it further. I say this only because some of them do not hop, even tho they have the exact same settings as their fellow deadbeats. Weird.
I am still using the 5280L client, haven't tried the latest live so I should not be effected by a patch. Just wanted to tell you in case something weird is going on.

Yah I flip flopped the end of those structs a few times trying to fix something else. Make sure you structs are updated and if so let me know and I'll take a look at it again.

Yup I always update my World structs even if they haven't changed, just caught me with my pants down too often lol. I have a batch that copies new exe's and all configs from my SVN folder just to be sure. I will check out if they've changed again and do more tests.
So it SHOULD be mood_state now? or no?
