If anyone is still looking for old clients due to login problems, try an official live update, be advised first that Build 5316L I have only been able to successfully connect to the TessEQ2 server and not my local server.
This build is most likely the Christmas build for the end of 2008.
This build also needs to be patched prior to being run. If you try to run it before patching, you'll get a "You need to re-run the patcher" message in the client.

This client is also unstable for me, as I was only able to play for about 5 minutes before it would crash. If you have an old functioning version, I don't recommend updating to this version at this time.

5316L does not work for me.
Patching to 5280L of course, works.

Re: Build 5316L is able to connect to TessEQ2
Far as I know, we have not made the changes to the loginserver or opcodes to support any client higher than 5280L. We've been very busy with the site move, but after the holidays it may get taken care of.
Meanwhile, it is expressed everywhere to not patch to the live game... so if you cannot connect, you should have made a backup. One of us usually posts what client is currently compatible, and that is the only client (or older) you should be trying to use.
