I can't remember, but don't emergency heals have a casting animation despite their instant casting time? I have not played a healer myself since EQ1, but for some reason I remember they having them.

Yes they do, just tried it in live.

Zcoretri, those emergency heals - are they truly "Instant" cast time, or 0.5 second?

I realize 0.5 seconds is not exactly instant but just curious what the spell details say.

Eidolic Ward

It is truly instant I did not notice a casting bar at all but my avatar did do a animation and had purple particles flowing around.
