EQ2 Maps

Post by LethalEncounter » Fri Jan 02, 2009 10:02 pm

Did they do away with the fog that previously appeared on the in-game maps to tell you if you have visited a certain location before? With these new maps I dont see any fog and I dont see any options for it either.

Using the new map system, there is still fog but it is not black like it used to be. kinda just no detail. I can get a screen shot if you need to see it.

Edit: Actually, let me check that out. I just logged onto a Fae and Darklight Wood was completely exposed. No fog. But I know my Antonica Ranger had fog. BRB!@

proof!

Ahh OK thanks! I was in tutorial viewing NQ and I didn't see any fog. I guess because it was a city zone. :/

Good point, Darklight Wood is also a newbie zone. Maybe there is no fog for noobs?

City zones do not have fog. They have a "lighter" fog which tells you that you haven't explored there but you can still see what is there. Zones like Antonica and such will have a black fog where you cannot see anything until you explore it. If I remember correctly, the noob islands and zones had the "light fog" but I have not played since the new maps came out.
