Ok, wow. First time ever, I just went into one of the Arena zones from West Freeport - set up the challenge and all that. It reminds me of setting up a Unreal Tournament match! Kinda slick, actually. Has anyone ever tried this? I am assuming this is a PvP encounter. I was the only one in my Arena, but I killed my enemies idol! woot. /flex

I saw lots of "power ups"(?) lying round on the ground. Blue and red vials, plus a Spell that I seemed to get (Bound) by stepping onto a huge green lightening bolt. The main EQ2 menu also changed while in this mode.

Looks like it could be a swell diversion from the regular game play boredom.

Yeah it's pretty neat. You can gain those new skills there like high jump, the lighting bolts, stuns, etc. The red potions refill your hp and the blue ones refill power. Another cool thing is, you can get arena pets. Throughout various quests, you are awarded house pets. Well, if you bring those house pets with you, you can battle in the arena as them. Like a giant specter vs a gnoll.

nobody has been in the arena since DoF =[, it was such a good concept but it never really caught on
