5316L - Questions
I will start off by saying, I know its over the correct version. That is a side effect of only having a copy of the original and not patching at the right time and my brother never going higher than Kingdom of Sky. Woe is me, anyway -- I logged on successfully to two different servers, LE and EQ2Test to find a few short comings. I was wondering if the short comings were due to the version I am using, or if they have not been implemented as of Jan 4, 2009.
• Items cannot summon
• Cannot harvest raw materials/? items
• Cannot buy items, but can bank.
• Can attack, the few I did kill didn't drop anything
• Forced Leveling (/level) did not add spells/skills
• /zone only works with zone id
I cannot find an implemented list, just topics regarding weather something works or not strung all over the place at wildly varying dates. I want to know if what I have seen is what is done or simply an error on my part.

Item can summon use /itemsearch "the item you want" then /summonitem "the id of the item" without the quotes of course
afaik harvesting is still a little broke due to us redoing items atm we are in the middle of that.
loot is not in at this time
tess is the only server with spells afaik and those are lvl 1 no others atm
/zone works fine use /zone list to see what is needed i personally use ids because why type it all out when i can hit a few numbers.. but names work fine. also that client is fine everything works the only "glitch" i found with it is the spell mantain box is full of junk but that does not affect anything atm

I did the /itemsearch for banded and tried to /summonitem 19884 and nothing, no feed back even.
I figure it has to do with my client. Just wanted to make sure.

look in your bag. Items will go into the first bag slot that is open. this is how live is now

If you don't like the way information is made available, get involved and volunteer to make a difference.
btw, I use client 5316L and it works perfectly. So your problem is likely a lack of understanding of what is implemented and what is not.

Ah, it was in my bag. I figured it would appear on my cursor or in my main inventory before bags, and short sighted as always I did not bother to look in said bags. Used to EQemu design. Thanks, it seems the rest was answered by John. The first time I read that page, I missed the scroll bar on the second code window. The project is coming along nicely, can hardly wait till it becomes live like.
As for getting involved, I cannot do much. I lack c++ knowledge and DB design concepts often times go over my head, like giving an NPC an id based on zone number and then place in zone. Totally did not see that one coming. I have kind of backed off, just doing error checking on recipes (and messing that up every once and a while) and other data fixes that were more over looked than incorrect. Like caps, spelling, multiple armor misnaming, etc. I will probably get more active after the DB matures a bit more. Anything else, and I would just be stepping on someones toes.
A side note and weak defence, EQ2Emulator Project Status does not list the Client Versions.
P.S. I can not find a suggestion area for the emulator. This is probably due to the alfa state, so I will add it here. Could someone please shorten /summonitem to /si? It is god awful to type that out for a full set and I do not think there is a MQ2 for EQ2 to assist in wrapping that command.

That's true, because client versions supported are not a super big concern of core development. RoK / TSO box is what we officially support. You can use /sum and /ite or even /it to find stuff. As long as the command is long enough to not be confused with other commands, you can shorten it. I never much liked /itemsearch, then /summonitem either... so if I have my way, they'll eventually be changed to be more consistent and accessible.

Thank god on that one. In eqemu it is #si for summon item. Then again, I just added stuff in on the DB side. After a while I stopped playing on my own server and totally forgot the annoying summoning system since PEQ was live like and most commands were reserved for Admin. Those were the days of MQ2 scripting to do the hard work.
I think it is cool that the system interpets commands. I will use /sum for now. Now if there was a way to search spells. Reminds me of when EQemu was in beta. Had no clue what any of the ID's were. Seems so long ago now. Now there is entire programs dedicated (My own included, though not nearly as successful) to the data look up.
Any way, thanks for the info. I will try not to get in the way until beta starts. Then I will flood the board with bug reports.
