*threadcromancy* The limitation that no items can be bought from merchants for free is a restriction on live as well. GMs must purchase their robes and such from merchants at a cost of 2 cp as well. ;)

The benefit of writing our own server is we are only limited by what the client refuses to do. We now can "buy" 0cp items off our mock-broker (/itemsearch) with no issue.

If the coin check were in the client itself, we might have a problem - but could probably fool it just the same. LE is full of all kinda of sorcery.

heh there are some unknowns in the struct that I haven't had a chance to discover that might allow this. Otherwise there are other work arounds that we can implement.
