I hope it's a Vanguard emulator, so I can truly be done giving SOE my money.

Dude, you're either a mind reader or you've had a trojan on my computer...in any case...gg.
And I'm not kidding.

Hah, that's awesome. Last I heard, Ramsay(sp?) started something a long time ago (beta) but had more work to do with SWGEmu, and there it lay.
I am no mind reader, just hopeful. SOE is robbing us blind, and someone needs to put that dog down.

WoW emulators have literally 100's of people in the community all helping with core and DB dev. EQ, EQ2, EVE, and other projects seem to have extremely limited involvement. Think of it this way; there are 10mil+ people worldwide who play WoW. There's probably no more than 1 million who play EQ, EQ2 and EVE combined.

Maybe I am low-balling it, but still... that's the difference.

I usually hook them with "Of course EQ2 is better...it makes this game look like Super Mario Bros."

Well it sounded like Link2009 wasn't kidding but either way I think EQ II is a lot better game, I had horrible fps playing Vanguard plus it was pretty buggy.

He isn't kidding, been hard at work on it. But as always, the newer these games, the more complicated they are and take longer to develop an emulator for. EQ2EMu has come a long way since its first alpha release but there is so much involved in EQ2 it will be a good time before it is 'done' (just look at EQEMu). I am not saying this to discourage in anyway, just these teams that build the games consist of 50-100 people (atleast), just assume atleast 20-30 are dedicated to the server creation (code and database). Same deal is with vanguard, he has a lot to work on
