I just got thousands of Got Signal 11's while waiting for your reply. If that matters.

Can you restart it and log what it says for both login attempts?

That is so bizarre. I've never done that, even with the Win32 compiler. Guess I'd better start :/
Maybe I was really out of sync because as I mentioned, I hadn't tried the linux server in months. I'm sorry

No problem

On Windows you dont have to worry about it because it is smart enough to recompile everything when a shared header file changes. The make command is not :/

Excellent info. Thanks again, man.
I assume you are out of there, so I will continue to set that server up for our team to test pre-pre-pre-release code and data

Investigating why Scat couldn't get connected to my Dev server, I am finding myself back as I was before, with "Logging into zone server" and hanging there right after ZoneAuth. I did a make clean, and make. Everything was working fine after LE left it the other night, so I am not sure what has changed aside from data...
So I will again force a fresh DB to see if data is causing this hangup... last time, it was allegedly due to my dirty compiles

Now what's it gonna be? Sun spots? The fact this is primarily supported on Windows and not Linux just yet? ha ha ha.
sigh.

The reason Scatman couldn't connect to your server was because your server was wiped so there was no character to connect to even though the character still existed on Login. Perhaps I should include an error code that the World could send login in this case and the Login Server could then delete the old client? I'll check out your server now

I recreated my character since you deleted it and it works fine now.

Good. I did reboot the linux server, and am applying some updates (about 80 of em - oops)... and of course, ADHD kicked in when I saw the parser commit and didn't get back to trying to create a new toon

There has to be a pill for that... Scatter-brain-itis...
