Found nine revive points in Commonlands... wtf how many does a single zone need ffs. Granted it's a large zone but gd.

I can't remember but some might be specific to PVP servers. Good and Evil both have their own set of revive points.

@ John - I forgot about those days... don't remind me. EQ's /corpsedrag command was way better imo. It was always a good laugh to see someones body being dragged across an entire zone.

In this case, The Commonlands revive points were all found on a (PvE) evil character. I honestly haven't even cosidered what to do about the different revive points for PvP yet.

I've been thinking about what you've said here and I think we might end up needing to add another column in the revive_points table for this at some point and have the code check whether or not the character is good/neutral/evil and pull the correct revive point data based on the number from this new column. Something like 0 = neutral, 1 = good, and 2 = evil. Again, I haven't really put much thought into this. Maybe after I've input all the initial revive point locations, I'll then come back to this for some ideas.

I wouldn't waste any energy worrying about PvP at this time. When/if it is implemented (it'll be a while), so much code will need to be updated, we'll address all-things-PvP when the time comes.

Keep up the good work!

TILT, if you have time (because I know how much you love writing documents!) can you check out this WIKI article section, and maybe write up your methods for adding these revive points?

WIKI: Revive Points

See my document example (just did today) here (Core Server data).

Thanks!

Figured it might give you a break from throwing yourself to your own death every few minutes ;)

Thanks, man.

TILT,

I am going to use you as a guinea pig ;) ~reeeeeet!~

Your next visit to the DB Editor / revive_points screen, you will find a Query window option. I thought rather than you having to type each field data-entry style, if you had an INSERT query (or series of them), you could paste it into this text box and submit it all at once.

The Query Box will accept updates/inserts for any zone. Meaning, if you have Antonica selected, you can still INSERT/UPDATE any of the other zones. I didn't bother restricting the zone ID for this case.

Of course, you are more than welcome to keep using the row Inserts if that works better for you. Just thought I'd try a different option. If it makes sense, I can make this available for other editor screens.

Great idea! I'll give it a try and see how it works out. I was going to suggest at one point to maybe have some type of (Google-like) auto-completion when searching through the list of zones (instead of scrolling) and found out that if you hold shift while typing the first two, or three letters of the zone name you can get really close to the one you are looking for. What you have done here is way better though since it wont matter what zone I currently have selected anyway and I can do multiple zones at once.
