Sorry "too many resources" may have been the wrong term, when I run chrome the temperature gauge (on the mother board) for my gpu routinely jumps 10-15 degrees (celsius), no other browser does this and that is on par with a game like skyrim set on max settings. Even turning off the gpu features in chrome still has the same result. I can't think of any reason for a browser to cause that kind of temperature jump and it is only that browser, none of the others cause that even if they have gpu features and they are turned on.John Adams wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2018 1:03 pm It's okay to not like Google. But you really should not be spreading fake news, Jabantiz ! hahah
Also laptops in the house that always used chrome would go through their battery fast, I uninstalled chrome on them and put opera in its place and battery life has improved considerably.
As for edge I don't use it, tried when I first upgraded to windows 10 but I did not like that fact they didn't allow extensions so I couldn't install an ad blocker so gave up on it and haven't used it since.
Yea it was months ago (maybe more then a year now) but it was slow as hell for flash/html5 games and videos and I got fed up with it so ended up uninstalling it. Plenty of time for updates to fix whatever issue it was.tyrbo wrote: Tue Jan 23, 2018 3:50 pm Also, the latest version of Firefox is pretty lightning quick. I wouldn't discount it just because the older versions slowed down quite a bit.
