[mention]Jabantiz[/mention] is your best bet on that one. The error messages tell the story (missing some tables) that the downloaded script is trying to update.

You can look through it if the server didn't delete it. It may not have since it failed to complete. Think it's called eq2-updates.sql or something.

Ok cool. Tried a fresh install. Blank DB beyond creation. This is with successful x64 compile from SVN. Ended up with:

[mention]elkay[/mention] sorry for the delays in my responses, has been a busy couple days for me.

The log you posted seems that the patcher has failed, I am looking into that now, seems to be an issue with the new ip/host the DB is on, trying to figure that out now.

The picture is too many attempts on the patcher so got locked out, lock out is temporary (like 5 mins) and is mainly to prevent people from spamming the patcher non-stop. Also the world crashed because it doesn't have the required data to run, main reason for the patcher is to give that data so the world can run.

Ok, I was able to connect to patcher again, however I am getting a lottttt of errors as it tries to update from my existing database. I tried with a blank created database and it also errors out and crashes immediately with the error attached. I'm pretty stuck at the moment trying to get a clean initial database going and would love any input anyone has on getting to that point. Should be pretty straight-forward (I hope) since I don't care about migrating anything. Also, the first error isn't valid, as my MySQL server never goes down.

MySQL server has gone away usually indicates that the packet size the server allows is too small. You will need to open up the MySQL config and change the packet size (max_allowed_packet) to over 100mb.

This is the result of a large insert of data.

Just about there now. Got the server up. Currently just using eq2emulator login server so I eliminate Minilogin being an issue. Was able to create character. Problem is, my client crashes when getting to "Logging into zone server". I do see chatter on the server, including zone spool ups and the such. I can log into character on the official server just fine with this client.

No clue on this, log just indicates the client timed out. Did you try connecting again right away? In some cases when a zone needs to start up when a client logs in the client seems to hang, if you try again before the zone shuts down it is usually no problem. Still not sure what causes that or if that is even the problem you encountered.

Was able to get back in quick enough, but it just says "there was an error prohibiting you from playing, try again in a few minutes" and I was able to spam get that message for 15-20 seconds before it let me fully through again and just crashed in the same spot. I'm guessing it had seen me as already being logged in.

Also, if I try to use Minilogin (which is reporting as 1.03 even though I got the 1.04 zip file), As soon as I try to log into the server (before character select even) the client just crashes. Minilogin just says using packet 63227 but no actual error. Really not sure where I'm going wrong here, but something is really out of sync or something. I had this working a few years ago.

Minilogin is correctly rejecting or passing me for wrong/right password, so it's reading the DB fine. Maybe during the world handoff it's crashing out or something.. kind of the same as using official login server and I'm dying at trying to log into world.

Did the client actually crash or does it just disconnect and put you back at login?

Really there is no errors in the log you posted and as you can connect to the official server I can't really figure out what the problem is. All I can suggest is restarting world and trying again.

I assume this is an actual crash and sound like an old version of the login. I posted a newer one on the forums at some point, I will have to hunt down that post.

Found it, was in dev private forums so relinking it here. This was built a few months ago (sep) so should work.

I had just edited my previous post with output from Minilogin. I did use the one from the SVN link I believe, which does say 1.04 in the zip name and has a new eq2ls.sql to use.

Using the official loginserver I was able to create my character and it did save the character information, so I think that means there is some communication with my world server. Puzzling.

My eq2 client flat out crashes in both cases (force close).

Ah, this one does actually say 1.04 when launched. That zip file I found saying 1.04 should probably be updated. Will try this.

Ok, that Minilogin worked! I was able to get all the way through character select... and then there was no server in the list for me to put the character in! LOL omg I'm going to go crazy!

Client says on the "Select Server" screen in red text right below that title "[DEVL]Warning text

(Minilogin does show 1 server still connected)
