Just... wow.
So, the outage this week is now because my new ISP (2 weeks after becoming a customer) has decided they need to suddenly upgrade all the equipment out in the BFE-land I live in, so we can have more HD options on our cable TV.
This equates to "So sorry for the inconvenience, but your shit is going to be unstable as hell for the next 2 mos while we figure this out".
Sorry all. I can't win.
God damn it I putting in a complaint with <<<<<COX>>>>>

John Adams wrote:Unfortunately since we cannot collect the entire games content at once, we have to do it slowly as we advance through the game as players. This means when SOE patches, we have to update our emulator to match it or our collection/parsing tools stop working.
The good side effect of this for players is, our Emulator stays current with live. I'd love to stop "chasing live" at TSO or expansion_x, unfortunately we wouldn't be able to gather more data.
Once SOE changes crypto or breaks our collector permanently (and I do believe they are working on that), then we're stuck with whatever data we have up to that point. Which is why you see me bitching about getting more people to collect,
now
Well if they do that just strap me with a nuke and send me to sony HQ

Annnnnd, yes! We're down. Again. I'll just get used to the fact this is what I pay $100/mo for.

Just an FYI for Tess players;
Gonna be putting the server into (hopefully) crash mode so LE can take a look at and debug it later. Might have extended down-time this weekend while we search fro some of our recent crashes.

Not sure if I ever mentioned this before... but on TessEQ2 (and likely the LethalEncounter server if he loads the TessDB), you the player can use the "/useability" command to preview all known Spell Effects in-game.
Ie.,
...will "cast" a Root spell effect (not the actual root itself, these are just spell effects demos).
The range of IDs is 1 - 1678, with more coming after we analyze the data from GU53.
Enjoy blowing each other up!

There are some AWESOME effects I've never seen before (3.5 years of hardcore eq2). I casted one spell on john that shot icicles from the sky and permanently made his avatar be a corpse with icicles sticking out of it until he relogged

I highly suggest spending hours going through these.

Sony has actually been designing all new spells effects, they are in the client, they just haven't been announced yet ;op

I did notice quite a few new reference spell effects IDs when I checked out the client data. Maybe that's what you are hinting at

Few small updates.
TessEQ2 now has the current Development content, including scripts. Go break it.
Added a second CPU to the VM running the live server. Let me know if there are any problems outside the normal issues.
