Unable to zone/ No stats on items/ No spells or skills

First off hello all, I am very interested in seeing this project succeed, as I have 6 people I am trying to convert from WoW.
They are tired of the simplicity and lack of content in it, but they do not want to pay a cash cow corp in order to experience a fun game.
But now to my problem...
Anytime I try to zone into anywhere it hangs at the loading zone screen, I have tried to /zone into Freeport, Qeynos, Sebilis, Commonlands, and most of the low lvl zones outside the major cities.
Also I can't seem to use /summonitem to actually summon anything with stats other than the base delay, dmg, wieght, ac, stats, and all armor regardless of the texture are labeled as "cloth" and any character i make can equip it.
And the other issue is as well that I get no spells or skills at all. I do realize that I am on the test server, but I was under the impresion that there was at least "some" functionality to the game.
I dont expect it to be fully or even partially playable, I did want to at least be able to roam around and mess around with stuff to be able to give you guys some feedback on some things.
I did also submit an error about an Iksar Fem character that I made ending up as a male barbarian. That was pretty amusing lol.
Anyway kudos to you guys for all the work you have put in so far, and I can't wait to see further progression on it

Hello, Devastatio. First, the harsh truth. There are literally hundreds of posts here explaining the current state of this emulator project, the core server functionality and the content being designed by the database team. Everywhere you go, you will find the word "Alpha", which simply means bare minimum functionality and/or content. This is not a WoW project, and there are very limited resources putting this thing together. This emulator will not be "playable" for quite some time, possibly another year. It is in development, and that means things do not work. But we're getting there.

As to your problems, I can back you up on the loading zone issue, as I get that constantly myself on my own server, and it is a recent issue for me. I haven't tracked down what is causing it yet, since the server shows no signs of error during zone - so it's a mystery. It is definitely not data related, because as you said, I can /zone Commonlands which is completely empty of spawns, and still get kicked back to login.

I was able to make an Iksar Female the first time through.

If this is something you can reproduce, I'll need to know the exact steps you are doing to make a male barbarian appear instead of female iksar. I chose all the defaults, and customized nothing. Btw, SOGA models do not work yet, entirely (the Alternate Appearance option).

I suggest you read through this thread, familiarize yourself with the current status of this project, and offer to lend a hand developing the server or content if you wish to see it progress faster. Otherwise, we're doing the best we can with what we have.

Thanks for replying, And I was well aware that this was in Alpha as it is also stated ont he home page of the site, but from some of what I read (I do admit to not reading EVERYTHING), I had thought that you could at least zone and walk around and interact with some things.
That is why I was under the impression that I could do those things and help find bugs in those areas.
As for further support like packet gathering, I have attempted to do that, but it seems that there is something wrong within my EQ2 Dir that is making it believe (No matter what account I make) that I have played "Play the Fae" and it refuses to let me go beyond the queens colony. It just tells me thank you for playing play the Fae and to get a subscription to continue further into the game. (Did SOE change the way trial accounts work?)
So until I can find out why I cannot do any trial accounts for RoK to packet gather (Which I would do every minute I as on) I guess I just have to sit tight and let you guys add more content to the Emu.
By the way I am very thorough when I do packet gathering as I helped a friend out with a similair project, so you would get great info from my stuff if I could ever manage to do it. But as I stated for now I am stuck in the noob island so I can't do much, since I did read that you guys had all that info.
I will see if I can reproduce the Iksar Model bug, and yes I did customize the appearance, but as you mentioned it may be due to my having the alternate apearances on.
