Merchants- Other payment options

Since the merchant code was recently added and seems to be working (outside of the fact the merchants are thieves) I figured I would add a feature request regarding their functionality.
Merchants on live have the ability to accept items for payment in lieu of coin. Basically instead of that nice endtable you have been eyeing costing 4 plat 3 gold, it costs 3 "notes" which are optained through repeatable quests. I was wondering if we could add this option to the merchants since we are currently working on them anyway.
A good instance of this on live right now is the current live event in Sinking Sands at the D.I.R.T.Y. dig site.

I guess you could include also those items that cost "Status Points", like the city merchants offer. There are also merchants that take certain items and award those status points as well.

Good call John, I had forgotten about those.

So while you're diving through Items code/data, may I suggest we add field(s) for Status Points (sell_price_sp) that an item may cost? Are there cases where an item may cost copper AND status? City merchants in particular.
As for the barter/swap concept, maybe that'll end up being handled by LUA - unless the tradeable items are static, and can only be 1 thing - then we would need fields in `items` for sell_item_id and sell_item_qty.

Yes the status items such as signets require you have coin, status points, and be in a guild with a certain guild level.

The items that require a trade are always the same price, on every merchant that sells the item.
