On my server when the world is first started spawn scripts work fine then after 10 mins exactly they stop tested this with a clean database with one NPC created with the in-game commands.
The script i am testing this with is a simple one that when hailed it will face you and when he kills you he has some say text.
When the spawn script stops working npc movement stops as well and will not move even when attacked he will however attack back just not move.
using in-game commands such as /reload spawnscript, /repop or any other /reload command will not make the spawnscript work again. The only way for the script to work again is to stop the world and restart it.
This is using the public svn source and compiling it the only changes made is to the makefile and changed -llua5.1 to -llua so it can find lua. The system it is running on is gentoo linux.
