For over 24 hours how, my Everquest (1) emulator has not found a login server over there. I cannot ping nor browse. Anyone know what's up at eqemu? Does anyone who admins that site even know it's down?

Welp, here's this hours fatal connection. Not sure how long this has been going on, since I never bother to even check this server anymore. Really wish someone over there would let go and give the reigns over to someone who gives a shit.

Code: Select all

[Debug] [WORLD__LS] Connected to Loginserver: eqemulator.net:5998
[Debug] [WORLD__LS_ERR] Login server responded with FatalError. Disabling reconn
ect.
[Debug] [WORLD__LS_ERR] Unknown error!Ñ
[Debug] [WORLD__LS] Connecting to login server...

ect.

Bummer there is no viable alternative to their LoginServer ;)

I don't believe it will, this is more for people who want to play with friends/family, offline, private, disconnected. You know the reject types... just kidding ;)

You mean the ones who pay $30/mo for an MMORPG to "solo"?

Yeah I know the type ;)

Hmm. It appears the eqemulator.net site is not even registered anymore. Popping up a search default. :(

Is this site gone, anyone? I missed checking the last few days to see if maybe there was a migration to a new system happening or whatever. I assume this means all servers are down too?

Edit: Weird, my world connected to eqemulator.net LS on port 5889. Guess it's just 80 that's off?

I think they took the site down. As far as I can tell Devnoob has started his own site and a new LS

Oh, I thought devnoobs was just an alternative, not a replacement. Hope that's not true. Shitload of information at the old site.

We are hosting a login server and a stats server, anyone can host their own login server now. It is a more main stream approach to emulators, other than a few mmo's.

Private LS's huh, sounds like UO now...

Dunno about OU, but the only 2 emulators of all the ones I run that seem to require a public/loginserver are eqemu and eq2emu. Everything else, you point your client to it, it works. Similar to how our own "Minilogin" solutions work, only they still require this "loginserver"...

from what i see, EQclassic server is PWNING the EQemu original teams! over 70-80 zones on a single server compared to your 11 haha. (hmm...ironic)
