New Items trial run

Thanks to the super-human efforts of Bion of the Content Design team, we have in excess of 85,000 unique items loaded into the TessEQ2 DB for testing.
All previous items have been wiped, since this set of items is totally new, but hopefully our last bulk update to Items for a while.
I am working on a script to help look up Items that exist in our DB, but for now use the in-game /itemsearch {partial_name} command to find Item IDs, then use the /summonitem {id} to get the item(s) into your inventory.
[center]What we need from everyone possible[/center]
As many item freaks as possible need to get online and start playing with these items. Summon them up, equip them, note their appearances and let me know if they are correct. I do not need to know every little detail, but if you put on a boot and it shows up on your head, that is a problem. If every item is Hot Pink, Scatman probably created it, etc...
Check out that items you know should equip do, and those that should not, do not. Check the slots are correct (foot/head thing). Check that a piercing weapon doesn't crush. etc etc...
What I do know is wrong already:
- Some stats are off
- Some descriptions/names may have funky characters
- Armor Type does not seem to reflect what it really is (they all say cloth armor)
- Probably 200 other things that you will kindly tell me in this thread.
Items are HUGE, so the sooner we get these validated, the sooner we can move passed this milestone.
Thanks in advance,

Okay, after filling a bag of items here's what I have seen so far:
- Most One-handed first weapons do not have an appearance.
- Most One-handed spears do not have a secondary appearance.
- And I have many other items that do not have an appearance.

What do you have against hot pink plat armor eh?
Btw, some quests will be broken until I go back and replace the old IDs with the new ones. Please, please let me know in the next few days if there is an item you were supposed to receive, which you did not.

ok was testing helms, item id 10196, when attempting to put on, it crashed/lockedup game, had to ctrl+alt+del to get task manager to get out, now character when trying to get back onto server says either still on server or crashes game completely when trying to get back into server.
1942,1524,80134,80135,80136,2282,1254,1341,1456,1480. look right, although 2 head tophies look identical.
1367, 10135, 10149, 10153, 10206,10218, 10237, look great, displays stats when hovering over them, all go onto the head perfectly, never tested to see if character stats changed or not.

Cool, thanks for testing out our items, Wildsky. I'll check into the crash, but it was likely caused by something someone else was doing and you just got caught at the same time.

could very well, just to let you know, i do have the latest expansion and latest updates, so perhaps thats got alittle something to do with it, either that or equip engine has troubles, cause some items cause no problems, other cause game to lock and when i go back into game, items either disappear from inventory, and item which froze me are equipped and i can remove and re-equip

After sum 1-263 yup all way thou found 3 items
#1 backpack
#2 Beta Voucher
#3 totem of testing
I then realized the /itemsearch, /sum
so I started searching equipment
#10519 Abomination Runebraided Wristband comes up as "Adv. Hood of the Stoic" and it does go on the head
#10789 Albino SnakeSkin Wristband goes onto the wrist slot but it shows a "silver ring" as the graphic? unless thats what it really looks like
will make a list of what I find and post when I think of more wording to look up,
so far everything brings up 10 so I know there has to b e more then cloak, wristband, and the "normal" names
[ed1] wanted to add I found a little program to help myself find items which might help others look some up
h**p://
www.eq2idb.com/
after compairing some items with the ones int he program some stats on here are a little different
[ed2]
I have been following the little program - if you make a blank search for head, I had made it all the way to "B"
now for the "A"'s
#10792 Alchemist's Mask "Doesn't show"
#21524 Full Body Arcane Environmental Suit "Helm" "Doesn't show"
#12239 Arcane Environmental Suit "helm" "Doesn't show"
unless these 3 items aren't supposed to either way the rest of the "a's" work"
[ed3]
I had just finished the head gear listed with "b" - all of these are not showing up
#13781 Bloodbloom Wreath ( I don't think it should but ya never know )
#32462 Shaped Tailored Broadcloth Cap
#35149 Tailored Broadcloth Cap
#16377 Crude Tailored Burlap Cap
#35157 Tailored Burlap Cap
I shall work on more later beginning with C tomorrow

Monday eve, Cloak testing complete. Out of 75 items, only one was non-functional. There are 2 Cloaks similarly named: #15148 Cloak of Flames is functional and wearable. #82424 *The* Cloak of Flames is non-existent in the emu database. On to all things wearable for hands next.

Thank you all again for the diligence in testing these items. I should have another load of these items done hopefully in the next week or two, possibly with some new item types discovered (TBD), so be expecting a reload at some point of items.
All your previous efforts have shown that those appearances and stats are generally ok - so we won't need to re-test them. But things like class/level, effect descriptions, multi-slot support, and containers are likely to change drastically and will need to be re-evaluated later.
