Mass-Mailing

While I do not care much for unsoliticed spam myself, I recently sent out a Mass Mailing update to every email address on these forums ringing in the 2009 new year, the forum update and status of EQ2Emulator. Since then I have noticed the forums slightly more active than before, but not nearly as aggressive a return-to-action as I expected - so that means, something must have gone wrong. :)

I myself never got this email. Did anyone else? Small show of hands, please.

Can you negatives do a quick check that your original email to eq2emulator.net is still valid? It probably is. I am not sure LE's server liked me emailing 1500 people at once.

The email is working fine. I received it and a ton of bounced messages from servers that no longer have the email address as registered. Scatman's host in particular has our email domain blacklisted for whatever reason, but I'm not going to waste time trying to contact every domain that does this. If they blacklist us, then they aren't going to get our email.

Hmm that's weird. I realized I was using my crappy Hotmail account for this forum account so I switched it today to my real one I use all the time, maybe that'll fix it.

*edit*
Or actually, I bet it's my new e-mail account's domain that has it blocked, which would explain why I wasn't getting my re-activation e-mails when I re-registered a new e-mail account. /sigh

Apparently we aren't the only ones. In fact your host was the #1 entry on google for the error! That in itself is impressive.

Wow. Thanks LE, I'll have to contact them about that.

Oh, hmm, guess mine was blacklisted too. Changed emails, and now I get them just fine.
