Hello! I've been lurking for a short while now. This project is very exciting. So as I have questions that I can't find answers for in the search tool, I'll ask. I hope you don't mind.

First one that pops up, before I've even set up a server to test, would be.
What is the purpose of the MiniLogin tool and how does it differ from how the instructions say to set up your server, found here http://eq2emulator.net/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=97 ?

Thanks,
Aes

The Mini-login is mainly used for people that does not have internet access all the time. like maybe they are behind a strict firewall not allowing a connection to the normal login server. This allows you to host and use the emu without the internet at all except for downloading the server, minilogin and the initial setup and any updates needed there after.

It is setup alot of the same way as the emu server is when you download it. it has a readme that details out how to use it

Thanks Bion. So is the mini-login 5 account limit on active players (consecutive) or total player accounts?
In other words, would I be able to host 10 accounts, but only 5 players could log in at a given time? Or would I only be able to host a max number of 5 accounts?

Thanks,
Aes

Hi Aescleal,

The MiniLogin actually restricts by account id, so it limits to the first 5 ID's. It was the only solid way to restrict how many users were using the 'universe' as it were (login and world server).
