Why is Tess Locked?
Posted: Mon Feb 23, 2009 5:37 am
The Offical Database Server TessEQ2 is temporarily locked while the team sorts out a few final details after the 0.6.5 release of EQ2Emulator (TBA). Sorry to players waiting to sign in, but we have to make sure everything is set up properly before letting you in.
SPECIAL NOTICE: With 0.6.5 comes an entirely new Items database, our last Items update until EQ2Emu Beta 0.8 later this year. This means all items have been wiped from character profiles. I encourage you to continue testing items by summoning the goodies you crave, and reporting on any visual anomalies you find. Merchants, loot tables, and quest rewards should start showing up slowly as well. Look for it!
With the new Items tables is more server code support - so you should now see tiers, levels, classes, and effects data (thank you LE!). Also added by Zcoretri is the support for Spell tiers and additional info on the spell examines.
The progress we have made over the last 6 mos has been staggering. Huge efforts, mostly behind the scenes, but it is all progress in the right direction. I hope you are enjoying your time with EQ2Emulator, and continue to do so as our project matures.
Tess should be open to players tonight (Mon Feb 23, 2009) if everything goes according to plan.
