Spawn vs version.

Hi, I noticed that as we are starting to spawn, some creatures will only show with higher versions. So for example.
If I run my EQ2 version 4412 build out of the box. I cannot see: ( for example )
8709 Skeleton, Iksar Female- Bruiser
8710 Skeleton, Iksar Female- Mage
8711 Skeleton, Iksar Female
8712 Skeleton, Iksar Male- Mage
8713 Skeleton, Iksar Male- Boss
8714 Skeleton, Iksar Male- Warrior 1
8715 Skeleton, Iksar Female- Warrior 1
8716 Skeleton, Iksar Male- Warrior 2
8717 Skeleton, Iksar Female- Warrior 2
8718 Skeleton, Iksar Male- Warrior 3 ect.....
Now if I use my patched version, 4938l then I can see them.
So my point is this. If I spawn up all these npc's that are using a model number that suports version 4938L. Then when a player comes into my server with a fresh install out of the box 4412 version he will not see the mobs that are killing him.. LOL....

I still say that we should not use any upgrade. We should stick with just the out of the box stuff so everyone is on the same page.

I stated it before, WoW emu always is chasing the lastest and best and never has a finished EMU.

This set up that you guys have been working so hard on is so great, I would hate to see players that do not subscribe miss out on stuff because of not having higher versions.

I will spawn our server only with 4412 graphics.

What do you guys think about this?

The emulator is compatible with the latest expansion, TSO, and you are still able to connect if you have ROK. That does not mean development of features and content stops at ROK.

Do not use TSO models on your server if you only wish to support ROK clients.

The DB Content Team is only spawning "Shattered Lands" for now, so we should not run into any issues with ROK-only clients unless SOE back-tracked and replaced Shattered Lands NPCs with TSO models. Even if they did, we are building a LIVE-LIKE emulator, so whatever is in Live, is what we'll support.

Everyone else will need to upgrade. We will not maintain separate code and content for older clients.

Thanks John That cleared it up for me.
We also will only add in ROK Stuff. That makes sence :)
