Hi,

I have been reading the progress for a long time and want to try it
I have ROK box set installed Build 4412 and have not patched it, I have follwed setup players guide
and can reach login screen i log in and then I get the message "Try longin server #1" and the second message is "could not
connect to a login server". I still have 30 day free pass so if I need to patch I can ,but all the info I read here says I don't need to.
Any help here?

you don't need to patch. Is your firewall letting you get though?

Did you edit your eq2_defaults.ini and change the cl_ls_address line to eq2emulator.net?

If so, try to ping eq2emulator.net from your machine. It will not respond (pings blocked) but you should see the IP resolve. If not, that's the problem.

I do a ping and I recive a request time out.. firewalls are off not sure what to try next need some advice
