If your SOEBUILD (in the EQ2 title bar when the game loads) is not 5016L (August 1, 2008), you are unable to run EQ2EMu at this time.
Development builds (v0.7) support 5016L and 5166L at this time.
Please do not ask for backpatches or any software from sony.

It also should be noted that you really pretty much can only have build 4427. Builds prior to that will not work, or will not fully work, and will offer the same difficulties as builds after 4427.
So when you run EQ2, and your in Windowed Mode, note the top of that window for your build number. If its not 4427, your going to have to wait until RoK release to be able to log back into the emulator.
[If you dont know how to get to windowed mode, when your at the login, press ALT+Enter to switch between Windowed Mode and Full Screen]

If you really want to play update your game in French version (still in 4427L) For that just change the language at Licence panel.

On a whim, I just tried my last live patch of EQ2 Live (2008/02/04 - 4670T) and was successful at getting into the Rev 71 world. I'm not going to say this is official, but it works for me.
However, updating to the latest (2008/02/19 - 4696L) DOES NOT WORK. You'll get the client/server mismatch error. So if you haven't patched since the beginning of Feb, don't.

Oops, try the latest client now. I actually updated the opcodes for it yesterday but I forgot to set the login server's opcodes and restart it. The latest client should work fine.

Bingo! 4696L is indeed working too.

FYI: Client 4734T (March 5) is not allowing connection. Can we get a bump if you think it should work?
Thanks

You're right, but I managed to connect a few days back.
That error you see is LE's Loginserver denying clients with a version > accepted version.
LE, I can tell you that I played with 4734T and everything was fine.
+I really like the new improvements they implemented.

Did you try connecting to any servers?

Yes, "Login rejected: The client's version does not match the server's. Please re-run the patcher."

That doesn't mean it doesn't work, just means LE didn't enable that version. If someone proves it works, it'll be enabled.
