So in my browsing of the EQ2 offical forums I came across a post that may be very interesting to would be server admins. Supposedly someone found a way to alter the existing eq2 textures WITHOUT altering the eq2 files. Rothgar (an EQ2 developer) even gave him his blessing to do it. I don't know the details yet, but it may be worth keeping an eye on for all those admins who like custom content...

sounds like memory editing. I know long ago you used to be able to extract a vpk file to a directory named after the file and the game would run the files within the directory instead of the vpk's but they removed that afaik maybe it is possible to turn that back on.
