Hi, my name is Jean-Simon and I play EQ2 sinse the begening, i know everything about this game. I also had 2 free servers of World of warcraft that i made by myselft and mod it for more then a years to make them perfect. One of my servers had in general 200 to 400 players playing at the same time. I left everything at the last expantion of Eq2 to play like a crazy one. I will not say my ingame name to not have problems... I dont want to pay a Server Box again, but i am ready to help anyone who need help to make those Eq2 servers realy nice. I have tested all the servers and there are not so bad for the moment but it needs alot of work. Im ready to work !

Welcome to Eq2Emu, just have a look around and help wherever you can, currently we could use your help in Alpha testing, so jump on TessEq2 and go nuts!

I know but how can i help you if i only test.. i mean... do you have any program you could give me to modify the TessEq2. Cause if i only test, i wont be helping alot... im know how to change everything so, send me the program and information of the TessEq2 and i will be able to mod everything i see that its not normal... Exemple... my assassin was making spells to attack... i know how to change the spell into a real backstab. Seriously im not a noob i know what im doing. Make a backup of the information and send me everything.

Currently we are still gathering and collecting all of the in game data from Live. If you wanted to change your spell into a real backstab, your going to need knowledge of .lua scripts, how to gather and parse the Packet collector. If you do know all that, then pm John Adams, LethalEncounter, Scatman or anyone and let them know what you can/can't do and ask them directly of where you are needed.

As of yet, we don't have an all in one Mod Tool. If your not up to helping us directly, you could just make one of those for Tess.

Oh, and really. Alpha testing helps us out TONS!

Database is not ready to be released. We are doing it this way to drive players/testers to our servers so we can test and analyze, on the back-end, server/DB performance. If everyone had a fully populated DB, no one would give a crap to test our content or server and the project might never mature.

Furthermore, our "tests" are controlled to what is currently functional in the server, as well as content provided by collectors in the community. There's no need to "tweak" spells beyond what we have implemented, because we do not need feedback on anything other than what we have functioning now.

Download the ServerPack if you want to see how things work, make your own spawns, spells and scripts. But anything you report that is not implemented yet will be a waste of your time.

I would actually prefer that PM's are NOT used for this, but the forums. The more information / questions / answers we get into the public eye, the more educated our community becomes.

kk... i will check this, if anyone have a server up and dont use it for the moment or could open a server for me to tess everything... i would be able to tess all days and night and you will be able to use all the modification i will make.

Well seeing how spells are not fully functional, I don't know what you are getting at making a spell into a real backstab.
Can you elaborate on what you THINK you can do?

I think you are misunderstanding exactly what is implemented vs what is not. You cannot "test" anything that is not on TessEQ2 anywhere else. You cannot use any tools to create new data that is not already on TessEQ2. EVERYTHING that is working now, is on TessEQ2.

Everything.

It is our development server, both for content and server code testing. Why is it you think using anyone elses binaries in the same exact project are somehow going to have more functionality that the official server/content test server? ~baffled~

Perhaps it is a language barrier.
