Tradeskills ?

Just curious , i had a look through (using search) the forums and couldnt find an answer..
What is the state / stage of Tradeskills?
I found this

Tradeskills:
[1] Recipe Books
[1] Crafting Stations
[1] Combine components
[1] Work Orders
[?]

Main reason i ask is, other than the repetitive nature / tasks this is one of my favourite parts of the game
Whatever stage they are at, im still busy running around on the server (having a blast) seeing what i can find :)

To start us off, Welcome to Eq2Emu!

Eq2Emu is still working on the more core aspects of Eq2. That thread just states it is essentially on the list of things to do. It has most likely been planned, just getting about to scripting it. The plan is to have a few tradeskills by the time we hit beta, but as of yet; there are none.

In the mean time, why are you running around by yourself?

As explained in the Project Status thread:

Code: Select all

Phase 1: Discovery       - Analysis of data collected for server
Phase 2: Design          - Design code paths to support functionality
Phase 3: Development     - Writing server subsystems
Phase 4: Testing         - Code complete, beta testers validate functionality
Phase 5: Completed       - Ready for general availability
Phase 1: Discovery, basically this means we have not even begun to think about how Tradeskills will work with EQ2Emu. Since normally on Emulators, economy and crafting is a low-priority, and will be done after beta in our case - unless there are both time and a compelling reason to try and get it done before beta comes out... and with the current load on our sole primary developer, I wouldn't expect Tradeskilling this year.

The list you find in Project Status is not a complete list, by any means. It is stuff we currently know about that will need to be implemented, or that we have partially implemented already.


Edit: Sorry, I know LE is not the only dev anymore, but out of habit, I keep forgetting to mention the great efforts of Image and Scatman as well. :) Sorry guys.
