question bout dual eq2
alright...so if i play LIVE eq 2 and updated to october 17 patch, but made a back up folder of eq2 before patch called blahafadsf i can then still play official eq 2 ? and install eq2 emu into back up folder?

Well, you dont install the emulator to the Everquest folder, you can, but its not nessicary. Put your emulator in its own folder like C:\EQ2Emu. Be sure to run everquest2.exe and not eq2.exe so you dont patch your emulator copy of the game though, which of course is mentioned in the instructions, but you cant never say it enough, as one wrong click puts you out of the game until we are Live compatible again, which is never a fun time.

bad news fellas :/
so i started eq2 yesterday and it checked files, but it started downloading so i instant exited it so it would dl anything....but it alrdy wrote the new version code so server doesnt allow me to connect....no more eq2 emu :/
any way i can do a free install from eq2 dvds and get it to work?
