We've thrown together a little Portal Module to allow players to search our current bugs database.
You can find the
Bug Tracker under Development, from the main Portal menu.
Please report any issues with this script to me, either here for via PM. Be as detailed as possible.
Thanks, and happy bug hunting!

This bug tracker is excellent ..Cheers
Was able to track down the /bugs i had submitted, and found some had answers..
eg. Too much xp on Tess server (this is known and deliberate)
This will (well looks like it to me ;p ) help us players , contribute even more

There is a bug with the bug with the /bug system in-game (on TessEQ) Filled everything, pressed submit and got red message: Error submitting bug.
Kind of ironic

I was writing bugs yesterday in-game using /bug, so I am fairly confident it works. What client version were you using?
I was using 5709L.

Sometimes i got the same bug error, but it only seemed when i was putting in LARGE amounts of text.
Try a smaller bug report maybe?
Usually when im submitting a /bug if i think it needs a large amount of info..before submitting "highlight all text" copy it , in case "error" comes up then you can either re /bug and try and paste it or , submit it on forums and jut "paste" ..save writing it out again (which is painful ;p )

5447L is the newest back-up version I had.

5447 should be ok. There may be something to the largeness of bugs, but I am not positive.
You can use the [appropriate] bugs forum if you need to. We have one for Server bugs, Content bugs, and I think even DB bugs, though there are no DB bugs (snicker)

Yeah that was a large amount of text... wich may be a DB bug (bigtext colum please)

bigtext? lol, ok.
Our "description" field is 'text' data type, plenty big unless you pasted 1/2 of War and Peace into the box. It's likely the client is limited itself, because I doubt we want people blowing up our bandwidth and DB's with nonsense postings. SOE probably doesn't care for that either, thus the limitations.

I have no sense of humor that I am aware of.

I have changed our Bug Tracker a bit to try and consolidate some functionality into a single location. For our Bug Managers (developers), you can now manage bugs from the Tracker itself.
A major enhancement is that when a bug gets Assigned to a developer, a new post will go into either the Server Bugs or Content Bugs forums, depending on the type of bug it is. Example:
http://www.eq2emulator.net/phpBB3/viewt ... 056#p17056. We can then make comments in this forum thread and communicate back and forth with the player who submitted the bug, should we need further information. For now I am leaving the Bug Notes option, but with the bugs being posted, I don't see a reason to need it going forward.
If a bug gets assigned to the wrong Dev, changing the assignment will append a new post to the existing forum.
Lastly, Bug Tracker is available to view/search our bug list as Anonymous (non-forum member, or logged out). Sorry, I thought it was available to everyone before.

Nice addition JA...I think this will make the bugs more visible and more aware to us. I know for me I always didn't check the bug tracker everyday as I do the forums.
