has anyone noticed that there is absolutely no Roleplaying in EQ2? i mean, i always choose an RP server, and if i look at the chat, its even more daily life than the non-RP servers.
EQ2 is probably the best game in history for RP, but it's impossible to do it..

I've played on a PVP server all my life and there is absolutely no RP there. Sad to hear there is no RP on RP servers =|

Best way to find it would be to search the eq2 forums ( or which ever game you wanted to try) and track down the guilds that actively RP.
They are there in all the games, just often the illusive hunt for bigger weapons and "phat" loots often leads people into the fast paced gaming mode.
I saw a huge amount of RP whilst i played EQ, saw a reasonable amount in EQ2..hardly any in WOW, but the largest ive seen in recent times would be in LOTRO , they seem to have quite an active RP community..

yeah, i'd just wish that non-RP guys wouldnt join the goddarn RP servers! daaaamn...

Once upon a time, weren't there "rules" on RP servers that almost forced RP play? I mean really, why join an RP server if you're just going to blast your way to uberdom and rape the end game endlessly?

The answer to that rhetorical question is, because the losers can't compete with "real" guilds on blue servers, so they have to go bully the theater majors.

There is RP, you just gotta know how to find it Your best bet is to join a RP guild on AB or smth.

yeah, my prob with that is that my parents control my money abit, and they're hardcore WoW raiders, so they think EQ is just copying and is bad, you know the drill (even though EQ was first lol), so i have to make a new trial account every now and then, its then hard to get into a guild

and to Adam, that's probably exactly it, we should make a facebook group 'Brng RP back to EQ2' hehe
