The Parallax server is a custom world with all items, npcs and game objects made from scratch. We do not include a single item from the EQ2 universe and are focused on single player progression with some group and raid content. Parallax is extensively developed around mystery and mythology and every single object in game has some purpose.
Please check this post regularly for lore snippits and more information. The world itself will be available occasionally for testing and you will find it on the public login servers when it is available. However, until EQ2Emu is released, we please urge players to connect to the TessEQ2 server to help the EQ2 development team enhance and test the server software.

Remember the Gods of eons past, of the 9 worlds they hail from and the Tree deep below.
There was no earth and and no heaven above. They came forth and lifted the land from the sea. From the south there came the sun and upon the earth did the green grow on all that was.
When the sun came to pass so did arrive the stars and the daughter, who shone of his light in the sky.
None hailed from her but ice, for her halls were empty. Then it is written that the first of the Gods did meet the ice and out of the earth hailed the Dwarves.
The wisest of the Gods, admiring the darkness and light and the creations that came of it, named the periods of Day and Night and so began the flow of time.
In this time all was good and the Gods did play with the things of creation and learned to fashion tools and they named their kingdom Voler.
And the dwarves led by the great Rinn did form the shapes of Men from the earth with the food of the Tree they came.
Many years did pass and the dwarves would tire and leave their home under the cover of the moon in search of a better land.
During this time the men of earth and tree did follow a leader and out of the earth they did flow and live upon the bounty that had been offered to them.
Then hailed 3 of the Gods unto their kingdom who gave them the gifts of knowledge. Not long following arrived the Wolves and Birds, Elves and the Serpents.
The Gods faught them one by one. The wolf, the bird and the snake all fell to the mighty Gods blade.
But the men, seeking more of the gifts handed to them began their conquest and the first battle of the Gods did continue on for aeons.
The gods sent fire and water but neither would sway them.
It was not until the leader of the men, who's name is now forgotten, did sacrifice himself in a last stand with the few Gods that remained.
When all of the Gods had gone all of the earth was smothered by ocean and the sky was scorched with fire, down from the holy mountains came the Great Serpent who carried death under her wings and marked the beginning of the new age. The age of men.'

I really can't thank you guys enough for giving us the platform to do all this stuff, your hard work (and never ending work) is so overwhelming appreciated, and we're only in alpha i can't imagine what it'll be like at 1.0!

What we found in our excavations is indeed what you are searching for. This parchment my scout shall deliver details the Edge and I now begin my journey to the west. There we shall meet with a guide who claims he knows the whereabouts of those mentioned in the text. Whether or not this will lead to anything fruitful I am unsure, but I will send word nonetheless. These are unchartered lands but with the resources you have provided I will fulfil my oath to you and the legion.

It's usually up a lot of the time so me and woody can spawn and what not, I guess try and if it's up you'll be able to have a mess around

I can log into all the other servers, but for some reason yours gives me the following error weather I use ParallaxLauncher.exe or not:
everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shut down

Did you post this one on our site? Here's my reply:
Hmm maybe you are missing a scene? Is this after character creation? All characters by default get moved to this zone: adv04_rgn_village - do you have a adv04_rgn_village.vpk file in your paks folder in EQ2?
If not sounds like you are on an old version
Someone here might know better though

Yes it is after character creation, I try to enter world and am unable to do so, but I also do not have adv04_rgn_village.vpk on my computer. Is that a file that should be in my cd's or something i would have to patch for? I do have the shadow odyssey zones and it is a clean install, I feel like I am missing something really easy lol

Yeah looks like you're missing some additional files that I thought were in TSO, you'll need to grab them from sony but i'm not sure that EQ2Emulator supports the latest client version
I recommend making a backup of your directory and running the patcher then see if that works
From the file name it sounds like it was in adventure pack no 4
