A little assitance

I am terribly sorry if this question has been answered on another post, I assure you, I used the search function to the best of my abilities to seek out the answer to my question, and I must confess, I am new here, however I am somewhat confused.

After a seemly long time, I managed to get my eq2 installation patched up to a compatible version and managed to log in for the first time into the test server, however upon my arrival I noticed that none of the equipment shown on the character creation screen appears on my character and my hair has gone missing. I was wondering if this is a known bug or if I was meant to log into another server (it shows 3). I even deleted my character and recreated it with equal results.

Please excuse my n00bness if all this has already been covered in another post, I would gladly appreciate if anyone could take some time to either answer or at least point me towards the right thread.

The Emu is still in Alpha stage...funky things like that happen with the model graphics sometimes, especially if you're using EverZelda...I mean SOGA models.

Ah that must be why, will using SOGA also affect my initial equipment?

The initial equipment for each class has not been set for all classes yet. Try Dirge on TessEQ2, I believe that is a class that we have the initial equipment set up for. The person who was in charge of that for the database team has gone mysteriously missing
