how do you go about Putting clothes on your NPCs

Anyone have any idea, i tried /appearance list, got numbers but it just sets em to a blank chest ect... when i do /spawn set Chest_Type (Number)

Also my elves are black and ugly

You have to equip items, and those items have to have an associated item appearance.

...make sure that the equip_type field in the item_appearances table is equal to the appearance_id in the appearances table for the item you wish to show on your character.

oh, hey can u help me with merchants for a sec also, i have everything set up but im not seeing a buy tab.

Command primary is 6, merchant id is 1 and i have merchants and merchant_inventory tables set up too

npc_appearances table allows you to actually equip items.

It is actually more complicated than that

The npc_appearances_equip table allows you to specify equipment that would APPEAR on the spawn, but it actually isn't using it.

The spawn_npc_equipment table allows you to actually specify which items a NPC should equip. The two different tables are needed because there are quite a few spawns in the game that are appear to be using items and weapons which they are actually not using.
