Yes its true! The MiniLogin has been updated to work with newer clients. I can confirm at this time it is compatible with 6709L.

For those who do not wish to overwrite their login_characters:
Changes have been made to wording of columns in the login_characters table from diety to deity. Also there are two additional columns, soga_facial_hair_type and facial_hair_type - both mediumint(8)
