Just a thought;
When I was trying to run the EMU from a copy of my EQ2 folder instead of the original folder, I kept getting that exact same message. Didn't even seem to matter if I moved it to a different harddrive. Are you running from a copy or did you edit your original folder?

I run my different game clients from 3 different folders across 2 hard drives with no problems.

Alrighty then
Don't know of anything else I changed short of scrapping all my other Eq2 files to get rid of that error msg; but obviously there was something then. As long as that message stays gone, I'm happy

Also be sure to delete your cache and logincache-* folders occasionally, especially if you are bouncing between live and emu.

If you do not have a Everquest 2/cache or Everquest 2/logincache-us (or whatever country you are in), then you probably do not have a complete installation.
Hacked, Torrented, borrowed, copied to a thumb-drive installations are not likely to work
Just puttin that out there for anyone else who has a problem related to the above scenarios.

From my experience, regardless of client version, the Trial has never been compatible with the Emu. I would assume that it's because of the limitations built into the Trial clients. Even though they say they are the correct versions, technically, they are not the same client. I would do a folder size comparison also, and see if they are different, as well as a client comparison to see if they are different sizes. I would assume the Trial folder would be significantly smaller than the full version. Just for reference, the 6122L is just over 11 gigs.
