I'm an old eqplayer actually with an eqemu server running at home and will try to set up a new server for eq2

I'm actually downloading a fresh copy of TSO I just bought few minutes ago....

Will try to play first on your server and if log on is successful will start to build my own

Have a quick question regarding TSO : Do I need to patch something or just Install fresh downloaded copy and play...?

I believe TSO should be version number 5040, which wil work just fine.

Mmmmh.... just finished installation of TSO

I have SOE build 5040 .... I think I will need to find a way to update because I tried to create a new character and gettin kicked from server....

Depends on the server harddisk.... some are locked for development. In addition to that we are currently having some issues with connecting to servers. It isn't your client, it is a server side issue.
