His kills pop up in chat from anywhere on the island, not just near him, but far as I've seen no other defenders kills does this

Cannot reproduce this. Will keep an eye out for it though.

While I did not hear Defender Bristlebrow's Kill messages from anywhere on the island, I did notice that when you first spawn into QC, you can see those Kill messages in your Death chat.

What I suggest is we camp out in Live a little while, and notice more accurate messaging ranges. Right now, we just set it to 100' or whatever. It's been this way forever though, so I'll leave it at a low priority.
